This scene of Jimmy Gamboa stomping around the beach, at First Point, shouting "come to Malibu! Everyone should come to Malibu!" lives rent free in my brain.
Every time I'm thinking about inviting people somewhere, this scene replays in my mind.
The next time your home break is too crowded or you're inviting people over for a backyard bbq, just shout "Come to Malibu! Everyone come to Malibu!" it will make you feel better.

I truly miss full-length surf films. I know people have short attention spans in 2023, but someone please bring them back. Short edits and single-wave clips simply don't provide the same cultural touchpoint that a proper surf film does.
