When Griffin Shapes Himself a Secret Menu...
Griffin set out to shape himself a new Secret Menu, and naturally wanted to add a little extra zing to the recipe.
Many of the Secret Menus we have been building lately have been stringerless with scored foam running along the back 2/3 of the board.
Griffin's concept was to do deeper channels, where the scoring typically goes, but to embed sticks of balsa into the deck. (He is also notoriously hard on the decks of surfboards, but to date no one has been able to figure out what his heels are made of)
The result is a rare and beautiful Secret Menu with balsa stringers that only extend 1/4" deep, rather than all the way through the board. First test is still pending cooperation from weather and waves.
