*** The Almond x Surfrider 6'4 PHEASANT will be available in early 2021 ***

The Pleasant Pheasant is ideally suited for surfers who want the added foam of a midlength, but still want the ability to explore the face of the wave.  It's one of our most beloved models, and perfect fit to build in the R-Series construction.

We're proud to collaborate with our friends at the Surfrider Foundation and artist Ty Williams to create a curated collection of surfboards, apparel and accessories.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to support the Surfrider Foundation's  mission to protect our ocean, waves and beaches.

What is R-Series?
R-Series is our rugged foamie line of boards—the same great shapes we have been building for over a decade, now in a recyclable foamie construction.  This is not a "soft top" it's something new altogether.

The R-Series construction is designed with a deep awareness of the role we play in the bigger picture. The materials used in the R-Series surfboards can—and will be—recycled at the end of the board’s life, through our Recycling Loyalty Program. Please refer to our limited warranty for any questions regarding the R-Series surfboard.

By God it surfs

I got the first waves on my new foamy plea phez and the board performed as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of speed off the rail and powerful turning - so that was a plus. And it caught the waves (stomach to chest high beach break) super early which really made the day. I was naively hoping to be able to duck dive, which isn't happening unless there's still some face to the waves; and the combination of how light, small, and floaty it is makes it hard to get through much whitewater. But I'm still super happy with it.

Sweet board!

Haven’t ridden it yet but ordering/delivery experience was seamless. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I love how easy it is to catch waves in this board, even though is a bit on the heavy side I found the board very easy to paddle. Definitely makes me want to get in the water more often.

great board in evolution of foamies

Picking it up on land, it feels heavy, but once in the water it paddles surprisingly well. I suspect the weighty feeling is from the no wax top material and then is buoyed well by the foam board once in the water. I don't have access to great waves, my local breaks are either open ocean over head crushers or protected cove longboard mush, plus I am not a great surfer (5'6" buck40) ... but I have noticed the R-series plez phez likes waves with a bit more speed and push. I ran into another R-series Plez Phez owner at aforementioned longboard break and we both agreed on the boards preference for a bit more speed and push. When I did take it to a decent break on a good day, my 6'4" friend tried my plez phez and wanted to get one for his trip to Costa Rica.
