10' Douglas Fir "Kookbox"|
This product is currently sold out.
"Kookbox" was the name given to early hollow-construction surfboards, pioneered by super Waterman and Craftsman, Tom Blake. Kookbox style surfboards were the norm back in the 1930's.
This 10'0" Kookbox has an EPS foam core and is skinned with 1/8" Douglas Fir lumber. (Not veneer) then finished with a tongue oil.
This one is intended as a wall-hanger, but the tongue oil is water-resistant.
