R-Series Surfboards Are Ideal for Wake Surfing
As you dream of spending long days on the lake this Summer, equip yourself with the ideal boards for the cruisey surf experience: Our R-Series Surfboards are perfect for emulating surfing on a boat wake.
- Generously Volumed
- Real Surfboard Rails
- A Rugged Fiberglass-Free Finish (that won't damage the deck of your boat)
- No Need for Messy Surf Wax
- Made in the USA
The aim of the R-Series construction is simple: to reimagine some of our very best custom surfboard models in a rugged, fiberglass-free construction that offers the rider maximum enjoyment with minimum maintenance.
Which comes with some major advantages for boat owners:
- The closed-cell foam won't take on water when damages occur.
- The grippy, wax-free deck will ensure your boat stays free of surf wax.
And most important of all, these boards are designed to make surfing small waves incredibly fun. Our brand motto, after all, is "with the right attitude and the right equipment, even two foot waves can be 'firing'". What better two foot wave exists than an endless boat wake?
Looking for the perfect R-Series for your boat wake?
The 5'4 Secret Menu is hands-down the most popular. The smaller outline packs a generous 36.4 L of volume, so it's plenty of board to float a wide range of surfers. Our tip: when surfing in the ocean, run it as a quad. However, when surfing it on a boat wake, remove the rear two fins and run it as a twin only. You don't need nearly as much fin on a wake as you do in the ocean, as the speed and forces are different.
The 6'4 Pleasant Pheasant is the next most popular board for surfing behind the boat, and while it might seem like a lot of board for tricks in the pocket, it provides an insane amount of effortless glide which looks and feel more like surfing on a wave.
