It's Been A Cold, Wet Winter
You don't need me to remind you that its been a cold, wet, rainy, windy, grey Winter (and early start to Spring). If that's not enough of a deterrent, the water here in Southern California has been frightfully cold—54 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday.
I don't know anyone who has been surfing as much as they'd like to lately.
But it's not all bad news...
Bright days are coming!
All that pent-up demand for rideable waves is going to be released in a rush of sunshine and A-frame peaks.
Start getting in paddling shape now. I know you've been missing surfing—we have too—but the time to get back in the water is now. There are exactly 0 rain storms in the forecast. (If you believe in jinx, you're probably pounding your fists on your desk at the thought of me just saying that...).
I, for one, don't believe in jinxing the weather... and am feeling confident that the law of averages suggests we're due for some warm weather and clean surf soon. Dust off your surfboard.
Maybe even give it a fresh wax job. You're going to need it soon.
