One of the byproducts of the tequila manufacturing process is the wood from the agave plant. Griffin took his planer to a surfboard blank made of 100% agave wood.
You have to work a little slower when working with wood, and there are highs and lows anytime you are dealing with an organic material (compared to the consistent density of foam), but the results are stunning.
