Confession: I still wear Almond surf trunks that we made in the Summer of 2015.
They're 9 years old and they are my absolute favorite. They're heavy enough to feel sturdy and lasting but light enough to still feel good in the water.
I've always been envious of Filson's motto "Unfailing Goods", as I have long been obsessed with the idea that the products we make today need to continue to serve a purpose for a very long time (see: any article I've written about the surfboards we build).
Although I am still wearing the 9-year-old surf trunks (as recently as this past weekend) we felt a decade was long enough, so we are very proud to bring back an update to a classic.
Meet the trunks that I will be rocking for the next 9 years:
Made out of a similar cotton-poly blend as the originals, these trunks are (in my humble opinion) the right blend of comfort, durability, and weight to be suitable for a wide variety of activities.

The color block version features a zippered back pocket, where the washed black ones also feature slash pockets for appropriate phone / wallet / key storage when you're getting to and from the beach.
We're very stoked on these trunks and look forward to making them a longstanding part of our surf & aquatic routine.
