Introducing: "Board of the Week"
We are introducing a new segment around here, called "Board of the Week"
It's a chance to slow down and take a closer look at one board that we feel extra strongly about...
Every board we build is done with your prolonged enjoyment in mind, but we figured it would be nice to highlight a shop favorite each week.
This week, we are turning our attention to this 9'4 Logistic #8393
For starters, the Logistic is a board we recently described as "Our Most Advanced Noserider" ... and we don't mean to say that its reserved for only advanced surfers, rather that it's capable of handling more critical sections and more powerful waves.
This is accomplished through a slightly narrower nose than its predecessor, the Lumberjack, as well as a more pronounced tail rocker. You can read all about the origin of our Logistic rocker profile in Almond's Guide to Noseriders & Longboards.
What makes this particular Logistic stand out?
Panels.
There's something undeniably appealing about the clean lines of surfboard panels. This process varies from resin tinting, but yields a timeless aesthetic that we have always appreciated.
Since every board we build is unique, this one will find a new home very quickly (and bring some grateful surfer many years of Cheshire Cat grins in the water) but if this one slips away, worry-not... because we build a new batch of custom Almond Surfboards every single week.
