Surf Splendor Podcast
If you don't already listen to the Surf Splendor Podcast, I suggest that you give it some serious consideration as an addition to your weekly media intake.
The host, David Scales, does long-form interviews with people from all throughout the surf industry. From surfers to shapers to glassers to business owners to environmentalists, Scales leaves no corner of the surf world unexplored. His interviews are personal and thoughtful—and always interesting.
Just this month alone, he interviewed me about Almond, Christine Brailsford Caro about Furrow Surfcraft, did a 5-minute recap of the Tahiti Pro, and interviewed Mick Fanning about retiring from the WSL.Like many media projects, the podcast is primarily listener supported. Surf Splendor frequently does surfboard giveaways as a way of not only incentivizing his listeners to support the show, but also as a way to connect the subjects of his interviews and his listeners even further.
