The Walks on Water

Super stable—the Walks on Water is the longboard we have cooked up with Andy Nieblas.

It's a bulked-up log, with extra foam for tons of stability under foot.  The wide tail encourages more active footwork, but this board will be tremendous for gaining confidence on the front-third of the board.

Andy likes the fuller rail because it allows him to lay hard into turns, without fear of burying a rail.

BEST FOR: surfers who like loads of foam and stability under their feet.

RECOMMENDED BETWEEN:

  • 9’0 and 10’0 long
  • 19" nose
  • 17" tail

DIMS + VOLUMES:

  • 9’2”   22 7/8  by 3"
  • 9’4”   23        by 3"
  • 9’6”   23 1/8  by 3.06"
  • 9’8”   23 1/4  by 3.12"
  • 10’    23 1/2   by 3.27"

Thanks for my WoW, Almond

It took a while to take delivery of my new Wow, then even longer to get it in the water (that part totally on me cause I live in NorCal), but it is a fantastic board. Cole at Almond was super helpful and good-natured even when I called in to change the design details two addititonal times. It is very stable and also responsive. I don't think I will be surfing like Andy Nieblas anytime soon, but I love the board and how it surfs and look forward to a long relationship. Thanks, Cole, thanks Almond. Cliff

I have been beyond happy with my walks on water. I’ve had it for about 4 months now and it gets more fun with every session. It is so reactive & responsive and yet so stable at the same time. It rides equally well on the tale, through the middle & on the nose. I can stay perched on the front of this thing all day, through sections and all. It glides down the line like a gull and the early & often tag-line is no joke! I find myself letting waves go just to not be a wave-hogging *******. Me & the guy on the 11’ glider sitting outside catching anything that comes for hours. Until this board my favorite 9’6 had been my Model T that I have been beating the **** out of since the early oughts. This one is about to take the crown though. It’s a 9’6, navy blue tint/top & bottom. It’s as beautiful looking as it rides. Thanks guys & andy for creating such a joyful machine!

SO STOKED.

Masks don't show it, but I was so stoked to pick up this board! Was up pre-dawn patrol hours and saw a 9'4" WoW available for purchase, I went for it. Best choice ever. I ride a chop nose 9'2"x22" all the time at La Jolla, usually get a nice stoke going and people really react to the shape of a flat nose board. WoW is 2 inches taller and about inch+ width, more foam! The first wave I caught on this, I felt so locked in, it was solid. Addicted to day one, been trying to find all the time I can to get out and get more time on this board. You can definitely walk on water with this log. Double thumbs up yewwwwwwwwwwwwwww
