If You Could Only Ride One Surfboard, This is the One I Would Recommend

I'm a firm believer that your surfboard quiver should be approached like a bag of golf clubs... a well-prepared surfer needs a driver, an iron, and a putter. More on that analogy here.
But whether you're just getting started or needing to inject some stoked back into your surf routine, sometimes it just takes one board—the right board.
So today we're going to answer the questions "if you could only ride one board, which board should it be?"
If you are looking for maximum versatility in the broadest range of conditions, you should probably be looking at a mid-length.
If you are new-ish to surfing (been surfing less than 2 years, or are still building confidence riding waves all the way down the line) I would absolutely start with our Joy model.
Although not limited to novice surfers, the Joy is a fantastic all around board that has a lot in inherent glide to it—which means you can focus on getting to your feet early and finding your line while the board does much of the work for you (efficiently harnessing the wave's energy).
If you have been surfing more than 2 years, or are wanting something that feels a bit more lively and responsive under your feet (without sacrificing wave-count or versatility) get the Pleasant Pheasant.
The "Plez Phez" is THE board we would make if we were only allowed to shape, surf, and sell one board for the rest of our days.
In many ways, this mid-sized 2+1 embodies the well-prepared and well-rounded approach we encourage. It's enough foam to glide on smaller days while having the speed and control you need when the waves get a bit better.
