Almond @ 15th Street Surf Shop

It’s no secret that we love the Lower Jetties in Newport.

It’s one of the spots we’ve surfed more than just about anywhere else over the years, and where we host many of our Early & Often Surf Club gatherings.

If Blackies is Newport’s classic longboard wave and the Upper Streets (56th) cater more to shortboards, the Lower Jetties have always felt like the sweet spot for our approach to surfing—a little something for longboards, mid-lengths, fishes, and just about everything in between.

Which is why we’re excited to share that Almond now has a new pop-up inside 15th Street Surf Shop on 32nd Street.

15th Street Surf Shop has been owned and operated by the Rosenberger family for the past 11 years. Their original location has been serving Newport surfers since 1961 (right next door to the old Stuffed Surfer), and they opened their second shop at 32nd Street in 2021.

That’s where you’ll now find a curated selection of Almond surfboards and apparel at 3138 W. 32nd Street, Newport Beach.

We’re excited to have a small home this close to the water. If you’re headed to the beach, stop in and say hello.

Along with beach essentials, they also carry several of our favorite local brands, including Slightly Choppy, Yucca, WHR, and Birdwell.

P.S. A big thank you to Kaleb Redden (The Cranky Carpenter) for turning this buildout around for us in record time.
