We recently crossed a threshold in our custom surfboard business. After 17+ years and thousands of great customers, we graduated from 4-digit serial numbers to 5-digit serial numbers.
This is board number 10,000.
We thought about going back into our archives and re-issuing something from the early days to mark the occasion, but instead decided to try something new and different.
If you’ve spent time around our boards, you know we like to explore variations on proven shapes—subtle changes that open up a different kind of ride. (i.e. the Lumber-Wheel or the Mini Walks on Water)
But in this instance, we got to talking about what an extra long Pleasant Pheasant would look like.
So here it is, something new, memorable, and mildly experimental: the 9’2” Pleasant Pheasant.
Not sure about you, but I’m imagining this thing screaming down the face at a point break.
