Liam Gloyd goes fully fins-free on the 8'0 R-Series Joy. This style of surfing brings me great joy to watch, because it's a reminder to switch things up and try something new (and sometimes humbling).
For a very few, surfing is a performance sport.
For the rest of us, it's a break from the routine and a chance to spend some time sliding around in the waves.
