5'2 Almond x Chomp | Rover Model
Great little board to have in the quiver. Packs a lot of foam and makes it really easy to catch waves. Board can handle bigger surf as well as being really fun in smaller conditions. The rover rides in between a secret menu and a fish. I've ridden it both as a thruster and twin + trailer. Both fin set-ups ride really well. The versatility of this board makes it a great option for Southern California.
I think I found my new favorite board
Picked up a 5’2” Rover recently as an alternative shortboard for our local beach breaks, something that would fit in the pocket and work well in less than ideal conditions… and I couldn’t have been more happily surprised with the boards performance. Having ridden a wide variety of alternative shortboards, the Rover had to be the most functional option to date. Whether it was the responsiveness on the backhand, to the ease of moving around the sandbars, I highly recommend this option as a replacement to your thruster for some very fun sessions.
